BC250D AND HOWARD COUNTY

:?: Will the BC250D, w/o the digital card, be able to pick-up Howard County Fire. I understand they broadcast in APCO-25 mixed mode? I would love to know before I shell out the $.

Any thoughts?

No, Most of the comms are in digital mode and you'll need the card in order to monitor PD/FD. A better investment would be to buy the BC296D or the Radio Shack Pro 96. Search the forums for more info on both radios

You can still listen to Dispatch and Fireground 1 on the old VHF hi freqs.
