I just suffered the indignation of dropping the beloved unit on a hard surface, breaking the volume control knob clean off disabling completely on & off. Has anyone else done similar ? and had a fix from Uniden.
Can you fix yourself and order part only ?
Or best to ship to Texas and deal with Uniden to repair ?
Any feedback would be welcome.
Regards
Tom

if you have a solder extraction machine, you should do fine.
if you dont, uniden is the way to go. flat rate should be around $55.00 and they warrantee the product.

I sent a 250 back recently for tweaking...from the time it left to the time it returned was a bout 2 1/2 weeks. Total including return shipping was $57.
