I recently had to purchase a new laptop(Dell Inspiron 6000), this computer does not have a Com Port for programming. Is a cable with a USB on one end available to replace the one that came with the scanner? I'm now SOL since I don't think any of us has the time to program the unit manually. Thanks, Tony

There are serial to usb adapters available just plug the adapter into the scanner cable load the drivers and all should be well.. There is no usb to scanner cable available.
