BC296D / BC796D / BR330T Rebanding Update Call for Volunteers

We will begin testing rebanding updates for these three models later today. I am looking for volunteers who would like to preview / test the updates on both rebanded and non-rebanded systems.

If you would like to participate, create a login at:

Then, sign up on the appropriate list at:

I will have the actual test pages up later today and will provide links to those pages to the volunteers when the pages are ready.

I`d be more than happy to test for general stability as I do not believe I have any rebanded areas in my local area. May be some as I travel from time to time for work in the near term. I signed up as EricHennison on the site you stated.

Got a weird error when I tried to register (tried from both email addresses maximaredline@yahoo.com and Ehennison@hcs-k12.org) My apologies for trying to register twice (EricHennison and ErHennison accounts). I was just curious if I would get the error on a seperate email. I`m not sure what to make of it.:

General firmware update part went smoothly. Instructions are excellent. General scanner functionality seems fine at first glance, and the new CC DND and AGC options are confirmed accessible. I will test it out over the next few days and see how it goes. Anyone know which analog systems in southern (or central) ohio (if any) are rebanded? I will be traveling to Columbus and Dayton this week and would be happy to test things out if there are any rebanded systems in those areas.

I repeatedly tried to update my BR330T with the BC_VUP_v2.0.0.7.zip updater program and failed repeatedly. I then tried it with the program from updater BC_VUP_v2.0.0.3.zip, and it took fine. Firmware (.scn file) was sent to the scanner without issue. Scanner says it is using firmware version. 1.06.00, and scanner works fine.

Weird, but it would not update from 2.0.0.7 updater.

The Update went smooth
all is functioning right
In quick lookup it looks like functionality is normal
now ill have to test more deep for operation
It will take me few days ....

Please only make test reports on the site or directly to me. The point is to give input to engineering for any fixes...and posts here aren't closely monitored.
