BC296D not show real Talkgroup while on ID search

Hello
Whille scanning Motorola Type II on VHF and UHF In Id search mode the scanner stop from time to time and Show conversation of trunked systems but the talkgroup is not the real one (i compere it with another Software that listen on the control channel of the trunked system and show the trafic .....

Has someone else notice that behave ???
is there something that can be done ???

Why is it not the REAL one? Do you have the Status bit option turned ON?

could one be displaying the decimal TG and the other the hex TG?

I have a similar experience with my BC796D. NO it is not Hex. NO it is not status bits. What it is, is bad decoding by the radio while in ID Search.

I have to assume that it is bad because it will decode TG 240 as TG 224. Notice that is lower than the proper TG. YES, I am sure the real TG is 240. YES I am sure that TG 224 does not exist on the system. YES, I am sure the radio is screwing up because I can watch the conversation happen on Trunker at the same time and Trunker is not screwing up.

Now here is a question to consider. What if I was in ID Scan mode. Am I missing conversations? I don't know for sure, but my guess would be, yes. :?

As someone wrote here , it is not status bit nor not HEx-decimal problem ..
I am monitoring the trafic with trunker software and this software didnt fail so far ...

It is sure Bad Detection By the Radio ...

so i wonder if there will be solution for this problem , ider by someone or by Uniden ...

Not applicable in my case, as I only have 2 TG's Locked Out. :?

I have had this happen with ALL of my trunkers : BC785d, BC250D, BC246T. It only does this in search mode for me. Normally, if I think it's ne new tg I haven't found yet, i resume the search2-3 times to make sure it's legit. Sometimes, that weeds the error out. I think I've only seen this with Motorola II systems.
