Can anyone tell me what the latest software version for the 296d is? Also what site to find the updates?

Hey Jim i can tell you from my experience that you may want to get the arch software. The bearcat software is hard to work with. Far as updates i would try the uniden web site under product support. Can't wait for you get get it working. keep me posted on your luck with the 296d. I have them both 296d and 796d.
