Recently i have pickws up quite a lot of garbled broadcast on my police, fire, channels. I have not done anything other than turning the scanner on in my truck. I have decided to check the squelch, however on the radio, the one switch operates squelch, volume and select. I have checked my software disk and cannot find anywhere how to activate the squelch. Can anyone with this radio give me a heads up? Thanks

BC346XT Garbled

I have tried the squelch to get rid of the intermittent garbled broadcast, however i am still getting them. This has just started happening. Anyone have another suggestion to try? Or could this possibly be atmospheric? I use a rooftop Larsen Tri-band antenna.
