BC350C Weather Channel Bleeding Over

Hi,

I have a BC350C that works fine with the supplied antenna. When I connect an external antenna I get NOAA on all the channels I am scanning. When I put it back on the supplied antenna it works fine. Is there something I can do to stop the NOAA from being picked up.

I am scanning only 5 channels from 153.995-154.415

Did you try adjusting the squelch a little higher? This model has no built internal attenuation. If your local channels can be received with the whip antenna I would use it. Beyond that, you could purchase an inline attenuator, but depending on how close the NOAA weather broadcast transmitter is, it may not be the answer.
