I was given a scanner as a present, but I'm not sure it works in my area. I'm in Phoenix, AZ and from what I've read local police and fire use trunking. I'm not entirely sure what that is, but I can't seem to pick up anything. I think this particular scanner may not be the right one for this area or maybe I'm doing something wrong (maybe both).
