I have a Uniden BC370CRS that has been working fine for a couple years. Just recently it started locking onto channel that are all static. I can squelch them but then I don't get any traffic. On a couple channels I will get clear traffic, but most of time it just locks onto static. From what I can tell the channels in my area are still all analog. Does anybody know what's going on?

Is it the same frequency every time? If so, which frequency?

If you can squelch them out, then it is likely due to some kind of RF interference.

I tried to monitor the scanner for a little while and only captured a couple transmissions.

151.520 was catching static when it was transmitting.
154.445 was clear and I could understand transmissions.

Does this help?

For 151.520, does it sound like some kind of digital transmission? Is it always static or do you hear voice traffic, sometimes? If always static, does the static pattern seem to follow about what speech pattern would sound like? It is possible that Amerigas changed over to some form of digital when they went to narrowband operation.
