I purchased A Nylon case for my 396T and used the coupon Uniden sent me when they returned my radio to me after changing over the front case due to the silk printing issue. The Nylon case fits the radio snuggly and seems to be of very good quality. The case is $17.40 on Unidens web site. This is a picture of my radio in the nylon case. Steveng

Thanks for the picture, Steve. I'll stick my neck out and assume that this case is built around the mounting "post" on the back of the 396.

How quick was delivery? On another note I ordered two BC246T cables well over a month ago...my credit card was charged immediately...but still no cables. I would hope delivery of this would be a bit more timely.

Thanks for the info.

Yes... the button is exposed so you can still use it with the belt clip.

Unfortunately, that's Uniden's policy (you need to read the fine print when ordering). I'm still waiting for my spare belt clips and SMA-BNC adapters that I ordered 7/14!

Watch out for the Shipping Charges!

Hello,
I just ordered the Uniden case for the BCD396T today and the least expensive shipping option is $8.00. Maybe you can find the same case at a retail dealer and save the shipping charge.

I'll be looking into buying one for mine. I just have to get my computer a cable that will connect with my 396. My computer doesn't match.

What does your computer have? A 25 pin serial cable or a USB port?

BC396T Case

The case took about 8 days for Uniden to ship it to me. The case has openings for the function button on one side and openings for the programming and adapter cables. Im quite happy with it. Steveng

Nice soft case for the 396.

I purchased a soft case for my 396 and received it on Wednesday. Very well made, scanner fits perfectly. Similiar to the nylon case but I wanted a soft type myself. Shipping was $6.00 and it delivers with USPS priority mail. Good customer service, they emailed me when it shipped with a tracking number. 1 year warranty too. Pictures of the case and scanner on their web site. I'm glad I found this source. Here is the link for it.
