BC60XLT-1 volume issue

I have a new bc60xlt-1 scanner and the volume is lower than it should be. I can have the volume knob in the middle, but it is not as loud as it should be. What should I do?

Turn it up? You give us nothing to work with so it could be programming FM when it should be NFM, a lousy speaker or a number of things. My first guess and it's a guess is a lousy speaker, internal ones are pretty crappy and portables are the worst so try plugging in one of our favorites, a Motorola Slim Line or equivelent mobile communications speaker and see what happens.
