I have a BC72 XLT that I'm not sure if its narrow band compatible. Does anyone know how I could determine this? (And if there is an easy to tell if any other scanner is narrow band compatible?)

Thanks!

It does not have NFM. That said, you can still probably use it, but NFM transmissions will be lower in volume than properly demodulated channels. Also, you won't be able to precisely tune to channels using the new narrow-band steps.

Basically, if the scanner has an option for NFM channels, it is narrowband.

All of our current production models are narrowband capable (BC75XLT, BC125AT, BC355N, BC345CRS, and all of the trunkers).
