BC780 PL Tones Searching and Storing

I have figured out how to get my Uniden BC780 to search for CTCSS (PL) and DCS (DPL) sub-audible tone codes.

Once it finds the proper code it resumes the search automatically thus losing the code.

Does anyone know how to make the scanner hold once it finds the proper code? Anyway to autostore the PL code once found?

I am looking for a way to get the PL code without having to watch the display.

I read the manual but have not been sucessfull. Any help would be appreciated.

Butel software will log the CTCSS tones that you encounter.
