BC780XLT with ARC780

I have programmed NJ State Police trunked system into the scanner and it works fine. My question is if I want to lockout a talkgroup how do I unlock it?

Is it possible to do it from the scanner, or would I need to use the software to do it?

I *think* you can hold down the Lockout button for 2 or 3 seconds while scanning the trunked IDs and it will unlock all.

Other than that, it's been a while since I had my 780. Hopefully someone else can jump in here.

Might try Uniden's website if you don't already have the manual. I think it's on there for free.

780 Lockout on trunk ID

Yes, holding down the L/O button until a double beep tone is heard will unlock everything.

The other method is to press the "MANUAL" button while the scanner is in ID SCANNING mode. This will result in being locked onto one talkgroup. Turn the knob or press the up and down arrow keys until you find the desired talkgroup/ID and press L/O. That will unlock that talk group.

Ok, this seems to be the best info so far. I have two BC780XLT's sitting side by side, programmed exactly the same (one is to go in my Jeep soon) the older one I know I have locked out several talkgroups, the new one all are unlocked. The new one picks up all talkgroups, the old one does not. I tried to find the locked out ones, but none are indicated as being locked out. I even manually scroll thru the talk groups and get nothing on the old scanner, but pick up on the new one!
What could cause this?

I have figured out my problem.

I had inadvertently locekd out the talkgroup banks that contained the talkgroups that I wanted to listen to.
