I previously posted about my wobbling antenna jack.

Can I trust a competent TV repair place to fix this?
The scanner dealer in my area wants $35.00 bench fee just to look at it.
Is that pretty much what it will cost to fix it?

Thank You in advance.

i myself would pack it up and send it to uniden. I have had two repairs with them for $56 with the shipping. One repair was the squelch knob that i glued together on my 780xlt and they also replaced the screen i messed up when it bounced in truck due to not putting it in the mobile mount.

A competent TV repairman could repair it with very little difficulty. So could a competent ham radio operator.

The trick is finding someone who's competent.
