BC785D and MPT1327....?

Hi all. I have a BC785D with no APCO card. I can track smartnet and can scan conventional channels no probs. I am having difficulty with MPT1327 here. Here in New Zealand it is on 410MHz. I have the channels all programmed in a bank, and am using ARC250 to talk to the scanner. I have the trunk setting to Motorola UHF Type 2. When I scan it stops on the control channel and I hear all the lovely MPT1327 data :s What am I missing? Any suggestions welcome. many thanks. ZL2AJ.

AFAIK that won't work. Motorola and MPT protocols are, I'm pretty sure, very different. There aren't any scanners out there today that handle the MPT protocols except the Winradio trunking module.

There's a dedicated trunking forum on this board where you can get more information. It's likely you'd need to tap the discriminator and have some sort of interface, but as MPT usage here in the States is rare, I must admit to being ignorant as to the ins and outs of it.

You're missing the fact that the BC785D doesn't support MPT1327.

In fact, no scanner does to my knowledge.
