BC785D digital to monitor city of Birmingham

I was thinking about purchasing the BC-i25D option board for the Uniden BC785D scanner. I was wondering if there was anyone in the Birmingham area using this scanner to monitor the city of Birmingham Apco system and if so how well is it working?

I think SYSID A73C should be 3600 baud, good for the 250/785D scanners with card.

Rich has been great in helping me discern how much traffic I should be hearing on the new system. There was once again several sets of testing on Thursday and tons of noise under various talk groups. That continued into Thursday evening. Has anyone heard anything beyond technicians talking or test counts? My worry here is I have some setting on the BC796D that is making me miss some traffic

I use a BC 296 D, and listen every day. I work in the city, just west of the Civic Center, so listing is easy. To answer some of your questions, do try bkscoop, Dave911, and me if you want some answers. The system work fairly well for all parties. Needless to say, they have some issues, but it is my understanding, work is continuing on that. The Pro 96 has better audio quality than my radio, but mine is good enough for me. If I run it (the radio output) through my notebook computer, it is fantastic.
