BC796D Programming

Good morning,

I have looked through the forums and I guess I am having some issues deciphering the information out there. I have a couple of quick questions.

First, I have a BC796D, can it be "formatted" for the lack of a better description to P25 Phase 2? I have a Home Patrol 2 now, so it isn't as critical now since I have a Phase 2 capable scanner, but I hate to see the "old girl" sitting inactive on the shelf...

Of course the second one is opinionated, which software IF there is any works the best for you to reformat and program the BC796D?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the 796D can't handle P25 phase 2 TDMA.
However it still makes a wonderful MilAir scanner
I still love mine!

Thank You for the quick response. Though I don't Mil Air Scan much, it might be something worth looking into.
