Is the software that is included with the BC796T any good? Is it a full version or is it limited version?

Thanks, Tom

Whether it is good or not is up to opinion. It is the full version and will program the scanner. I have used it and it works ok. Having not used the Butel I cant really say if one is better than the other, but most on the board seem to prefer the Butel.

The BuTel ARC250 Pro blows away the Uniden sw. It is much easier to use and saves so much time.

Download the demo and check it out here:

I have the arc250 software and it is great. The only problem I have is that I still cant get the radio to Pull in the trunk system here in S Dakota. Everything is programmed correctly. Am I missing something?

Actually Billy, if you had it programmed correctly it would work. I do a lot of posting and emailing, but I thought that we had solved your problem at some point. :?

The control channel they use in Sioux Falls is the Wall Lake one. Is there any way to find out what the offset channel would be for it?
Thanks,
Billy

The base/offset/spacing is the same across the state. Take a look at the system here on the site for the exact details. You have to enter all three for the radio to work.

However, I don't want to hi-jack this thread any more, so if you have more questions, either PM or start a thread in the SD forum. :)
