Bc796d Wx Alert

I've had the radio for years and never turned on alerts. Trying it today with bad wx in the area. Squelch is opening when the trigger data is received. Will it mute again or do I need to power cycle the radio?

Got the manual and was able to set the fipps code. No mention of reseting after an alert is received. Will keep futzing with it.
