Is there anything to listen to on digital in upstate S.C. I am thinking of buying a BC796D.And was wondering if there is any need. Brad

Quite a bit actually. Greenville City PD and FD, Anderson Co. SD, several Anderson Co. town PDs, Laurens SD and PD, some state agencies. Any other agencies that join up in the future will likely be digital.

Look in the RR database at the top of the page, on the Palmetto 800 system page, and look for any upstate talkgroups with a "D" next to them.

There are 34 DIGITAL ID's logged for the Paris Mtn Tower. Other towers may vary.

well I finally got the scanner today.Programmed it and seems to be working fine. Brad

Have fun with it Brad....I have family in Anderson (my great-grandfather was mayor of Anderson) so I love going down to visit and taking my Pro96 with me to monitor the Palmetto 800....wish more states had communications so simple like SC does
