Umm you meant the BC796D right???

Anyway.. tune in to a known digital station/TRS and go from there.

What system are you tring to find out about? Look it up in the RR database.

Also if its nbot listed here, your scanner will tell you if its digital.

If the transmission is digital it will show p25 on the screen during the transmission, also remember freq's arent really digital it's the transmission that is digital.
