i happen to have an older bc860xlt and i have an issue with the antenna/squelch. the issue is that any antenna i hook up to the unit make the squelch not useable at times for the 800mhz and 900mhz frequencies. the automatic setting does nothing at times. i have tried different antennas and wire combos and still the same issue. i can get the scanner to work right some of the time but not all the time. sometimes the scanner will drop on an 800mhz frequencie like its stuck open but have tons of noise and other times it scans just fine. if i have no antenna connected to the scanner the 800mhz works just fine but i get no receprtion from the lower then 800 frequncies. what am i to do is there a fix or is this a common issue with this model
