BC875 programming problem???

I've had my bc785 for several months now and use the butell software with it. I have the 3 vhf intinerate dot freqs programmed in ( 151.6250, 154.6000, 154.5700). I was doing some changing and discovered the band steps had changed.

When I program it in it comes up as 5.0Khz, but when I down load it to the scanner it changes to 7.5Khz, and that also changes the Khz side of the frequency.

Does any one have the same problem, if so how do I fix it.

I find that with teh Butel software that it programs the frequency then changes the step. So if the channel has default step then the scanner will alter the frequency as it stores it. The Butel software will then change the step but. Maybe in your case the scanner does not allow the step change as it does not match the frequency it just stored? I will have to do some tests. But I have found that when I program (780XLT) a 50kHz step in air band that, say 128.25, the first time the scanner stores 128.2 becuase the default step for airband is 100kHz. But it will then accept butels program change of the step change from 100kHz to 50kHz and then the next time I program then xxx goes in OK since the channel step is now 50kHz. Don't know if this helps you but it is my findings.
