BC895XLT Question???

Can the mode of reception(toggle between AM/FM) be changed on this scanner or is the band plan set in stone and you can't change the mode of reception. Was trying to monitor some milair activity and they are operating in the 140MHz range and this scanner is defaulting to FM mode. I need it in AM mode, can it be switched to AM in the 140MHz range?

Nope, it can't do it. It's newer cousin, the 898 can, but not the 895.

However, it's still a very good scanner for the UHF milair range (it won't decode the new 380 Mhz mil trunk systems - you need a much newer scanner for that...). I use it quite frequently with RadioMax software, which vastly expands the channel capacity well beyond 300.
