BC898 TRUNKING DIFFERENT THAN MANUAL

Just received a new 898 from Scannermaster. Seems to have the same operating system as the BCT8. Manual states that it CAN NOT scan two trunking systems. However, when I push the data button my display changes from Trunking Lists to activated banks. If I add another bank by pushing the lettered button for the bank which contains a trunking system it does both....just like the BCT 8. I would Appreciate observations from other owners.

I'm fairly new to the scanning hobby, and I also have a 898T. I have to say that Uniden's Manual for this scanner is the sorley lacking.

But I did find (I think) an answer to your observation. Read the last paragraph on page 9:

"Your scanner can track more than one trucking system at a time and scan conventional and trunked systems at the same time".
