BC898T: BC898T ISSUE

Good day. I recently decided to reprogram my 898T with a more current load of frequencies, and I immediately noticed the VFO knob not working as it should. I can spin it and the channels or frequencies don't change. Would Dexoit work in a case like this or is it something that is more extensive?

there should be a "lock button" button to the lower right of the knob, is it on or off?

The button is off.

To use the rotary tuner, press MANUAL to stop scanning if necessary. Then, if the green LOCK LED is on, press LOCK to unlock the rotary tuner

I did all of that, I think the contacts inside the knob are either dirty or non functional

Check the lock button as another member stated. There would be a LED bulb indicating it is in "lock" mode and if so, push the button and that should solve your issue on your BC898T.

As previously stated, the lock button is off. I have come to the conclusion that it is a contact issue or something in that nature. Thanks for all of the replies.
