BC996T Scanner

In the near future I am looking into gettin a BC996T to replace my BC780XLT. Does anyone in the group have one? What are your thoughts? Comments? and how about lowest price seen so far on the web? Thanks.

I have had my 996 for about 7 months now and I love it. Like you I upgraded from a BC780and I must say the best feature of this scanner is the dynamic memory. I have police/fire for all of the counties in Washington State and Northern Oregon as well as the province of British Columbia loaded into my scanner. I haven't even put a significant dent in the memory availability. Now instead of downloading a file for a specific "area" that I might visit, I just lock or unlock the various systems based on where I am travelling to. I also like the fact that I can now listen to the digital(RCMP/VPD) talkgroups on the CREST system in southern Vancouver Island. If and when you purchase the 996 I would highly recommend the Butel software ARC996PRO. This software was invaluable in programming my scanner.
