BCD 396T Discriminator tap

I have recently decided to do this mod on my old 396T, I have read all the threads from a while back.there was one thread where they were comparing with another Uniden model that made it confusing so Im not concrete if i need the 100 Ohm resistor in the 396 or not? Any help would be appreciated

I would consider a resistor and/or capacitor to isolate the tap from the circuit board.

I did the mod and routed it back to the earphone jack. works great THANKS!
