BCD-396T Silk Print in Nashville

Well after weeks of wondering if I was going to fall prey to the silk print issue on the lettering of the BCD-396 it has happenend and will be sending the radio back for repair. Now back to the old 250d for now to get me through.

If anyone else in the area has this radio and it is a low number serial be expexting the same problem. I suspect it depends on how much hand programming is used as to how long it takes for the letters to start and show wear.

Oddly enough, mine finally started wearing off today as well. This royally sucks, but at least Uniden's stepping up to the plate & fixing.

Well got mine sent off today hope to have it back before a big road trip coming up.
vol4ever hope you get yours taken care of also, looks like Ol GW may be forcing me out into your neck of the woods if this BRAC goes through and they shut our doors here in Nashville.
