Is there a smaller antenna available that will work on this scanner. This scanner is a bit too tall for where I want to put it.

Is this antenna closer to the Maldol 209 or 255? I have a 209, but it's not very good on any of my scanners. I read a thread here about the 255 being much better for scanners than the 209.

Is there a smaller antenna available that will work on this scanner. This scanner is a bit too tall for where I want to put it.

It would be helpful if we knew what frequencies you are going to be monitoring. VHF, UHF, 800, etc.

However, the antennas mentioned can be really good depending on what it is you wish to monitor.

In general, the higher the frequency the smaller the antenna can be and still perform well.
