Can anyone tell me why my 436 receives great while operating on batteries on a county P-25 system, but I lose reception of only some of the talk groups when plugged into AC power. When I drape the AC cord near any of the ducky antenna's I use with this radio it restores said lost reception. A bit annoying to have to wrap the AC cord around the antenna for proper reception. Any suggestions to explain or solve this problem appreciated. All talk groups are on one site. and work fine on my 536 and HP- 2.

Thanks,
Bob

RF interference from the USB adapter. Try a different one.

Get the AC adapter as far from the radio as possible and as far below the radio as possible.

No idea why wrapping the AC cord around the antenna improves things... should be the other way around.
