On my 536hp when scanning a p25 multi-site system I can see the sites displayed as the unit scans, but when it lands on an active TG the site display line becomes the dept name and I don't know which site picked it up. Is there anyway to keep the site display on when it stops on an active TG?

If you were to set up separate Favorite Lists of individual sites according to Site ID, the Favorite name you assign can be displayed during scanning and with each transmission. You would have to turn off both the 3-line display and Display Unit ID to display the Favorite title, however.

While you are scanning the System of interest.
Press CHANNEL to hold a channel/TG. Then press Function, press "9", press Enter (E). That will put you in the 5 line display mode versus 3 line. That should resolve your issue

The 5 line display does the same thing as the 3 line it drops the site name and inserts the dept. in it's place

The system I am listening to has many sites I can receive, I want to be able to scan the system and when it stops on an active TG be able to see which site I am on, I guess this is just not possible with the 536hp

I think the 5-line display shows the name of the Favorite being scanned, not the specific site in use. If you were to arrange and name your Favorites by Site, then the 5-line would display the Site name.

The ProScan log contains a lot of good information not included on the 5-line display such as Frequency, RSSI, System and Site.

I see what you are saying now. You want to see the site that is being used during a conversation.
I wonder if the SIREN app shows the Site during a transmission? If so that would be a solution. Just need to try it with your phone or tablet.

I verified that the Site in use is displayed on the Siren App during a conversation

You mean the Uniden Siren app that earns a 1.3 star rating on Google Play? The app that hasn't been updated in over 5 1/2 years? The app that if you don't give it every permission possible, will crash before it even opens? That Siren app?

Mine has never crashed on an Android Device.
Works fine for me. I use it everyday. Sure makes the display easier to read. That being said, I use the keypad on the radio to control the radio functions.

As sort of noted above, this is "just the way it works". A suggestion was made to Uniden to perhaps have Site Name and Department Name alternate, but nothing came of it.

That's one of the reasons why I use the Siren app on an old iPhone 4 or Samsung S5 and have that standing below the computer screen. Works perfect with those old phones you can buy for $10 with a worn out battery and run on USB power. Even a more modern Galaxy A3 using Android 8 works just for monitoring but not for scanner control.

I use one of my Moto droid on it, works great, give the color display, and the site they are using.

You find a phone that has Andriod 4 or 5 on eBay fairly cheap.
