For California data, go to the California forum...you might well be better off getting a .usd (UASD) file from someone there, and use the free BCTool or FreeScan to program. In fact since you're a premium subscriber you can pull data from the database directly into the software using the web service. Both those programs have this ability - the UASD doesn't

All versions of Windows from ME onward have the ability to handle zip files.
There is also free software that will handle zip files. http://www.pkware.com/download-software/free-unzip
WinZip's evaluation copy will never stop working it will give you a nag screen to buy it but you can try it for free.

As I understand it, Vista has the unpleasant habit of corrupting some zip files when they're opened, so you're likely better off with one of the packages such as WinZip, although the one below will likely work just as well...

Anyway, here are the links for BcTool and Freescan. In the case of BcTool, get the latest beta from the Yahoo group, not the website (both links are at the bottom of the article)...

The authors are on their respective forums a great deal, so if you find a bug, they're quite likely to at least give you a workaround, if not an outright fix. In fact, I'm looking to upgrade my PC so I can do a review of these packages, once my home improvement mess settles down...73 Mike
