Determining which site is active on a 536 is cumbersome.
When there are no active voice transmissions, the site that the scanner is monitoring is displayed on the fourth line from the top (The "F" line is line 1).
When there are active voice transmission, then that site name is replaced with the department name.
This has been mentioned in other posts in this forum. A request to Uniden has been made to see if the firmware can be modified so that the active site is displayed during a voice transmission.
The virtual control applications I have seen (ARC and ProScan) will display the active site on the computer screen during voice transmissions. This is the only way I know around this issue.
