I have been reading ‘Trunking Scanners for Beginners (Using FreeSCAN and the Uniden TrunkTracker)’ by Brian Schell. It reads that I should rely a lot on radioreference.com (I am a paid member). I have BCD260DN Scanner and I went to Programming Your Scanner with the RadioReference Web Service which sent me to Supported Scanner Software Applications and I don't see the BCD260DN on any of the listed links. Uniden does have a program: BCDX60DN_SS_V1.00.00 . The question I have is whether or not it can be used with your Web Service? If not I have downloaded all your English version downloads for this radio and would like to know which file to use.
I sent this to RadioReference Support and their reply was to come here. I just purchased the scanner and I'm trying to pickup MESA in Indianapolis, Indiana This Trunk thing is driving me crazy. can someone give me some advice or point me in the right direction?

Hate to break it to you but the 260DN does not trunk track nor handle P25 of any flavor. You're only good for analog, DMR or NXDN conventional. MESA is a P25 Phase-I system so you'll need to choose a scanner from this list to be able to track it. Welcome to the RR forums!

Bearcat Warehouse will send you an email before shipping the scanner to make sure it's the right scanner for your system before they complete the transaction. Guess it saves having to give refunds when people chose the wrong scanner.

They did this with me when purchased my BCD325P2 a few summers ago even with me knowing what I wanted being into scanners for over 30 years.
