I have no problem opening the file with ARC-XT. Before opening the file with ARC-XT, locate the zipped file you saved in the Downloads folder of the File Explorer. Right click on the file and Extract All. You must extract the file from the zipped folder first. Click Open on ARC-XT and Open the extracted file (Montgomery Fire.rsf) in the Downloads folder.

That worked. Thank you.

I am receiving the talkgroups, but I have to be fairly closer to the county than before. Used to be 10 miles outside the county and could pick up the chatter. Now I have to be about 1 mile outside the county. Is the SDS100 a better scanner?

Our county just went to Phase 2 and TDMA. I no longer can get the talkgroups. Is the BCD325P2 compatible for TDMA? Do I need to change settings?
It is technically but it needs a stronger signal. My state PD went phase 1 last year and the 325p2 stopped working on it from home and I could only hear them with the SDS scanners. Then they went phase 2 and I had to do some major tweaking on those to hear them again while the 325p2 is hopeless from this location.

But if I take it out in the car, once I get about a half mile down the road, the 325p2 works on the system as if nothing was wrong.

Sounds like you were receiving conventional frequencies that are patched from the trunked system.

Here is an ARC-XT file for Montgomery Co Fire. Save the attached zipped file to your computer and extract. Open the extracted file with ARC-XT and Upload to Scanner. System quick key is 1. Group quick keys as follows:

1. MontCo Fire Ops
2. MontCo Fire Misc
3. MontCo EMS/Hosp
4. MontCo Interop
Did you create this file? If you did, you did a great job. Thank you very much.

I have to be within a mile or 2 of my county to hear the talkgroups. Two miles away and I hear nothing.

Yes! I do all custom programming from scratch. I find that the alpha tags from the downloads are often very ambiguous. I like to do all of my own alpha tags so that they are more understandable and separate talkgroups into groups or departments with quick keys to make it easy to select what you want to monitor.. I program scanners for firefighters in my area.
