I use FreeSCAN Easy-Grab (not web import) to set up this rebanded system to BCD325P2 using Radioreference data :

San Francisco County/City
Location: San Francisco, CA
County: San Francisco
System Type: Motorola Type II SmartZone
System Voice: Analog and APCO-25 Common Air Interface

001 (1) CERS (Public Safety) 851.125a 851.150a 851.400c 851.425c 851.5875 851.6125 851.7625 851.8125 852.0875 852.2125 852.2625 852.3875 852.675 852.8375 853.0875 853.225 853.4125 853.4375 853.625 853.650 853.7875 853.8875

003 (3) PERS (Public Works) 851.250 852.3625c 852.0625 852.8625c 853.250a 853.8125a 856.2375 857.2375

Trunking works OK except :
When using Band Scope Mode by manual instruction, only get inop tone.

Using Band Scope Mode:
To Start Band Scope Mode Hold on any channel and press Func then 3(sr 3) to start Band Scope mode at the frequency you held at. Band Scope mode is assigned to this search key (3) by default.

Reset scanner, Band Scope works:
Scanner Reset to initialize the scanner's memory, turn off the scanner. Then press 2, 9, and Hold while turning it on.

Also when I use another program ARC-XT to set up, Bandscope works.
So I confirm FreeSCAN causing the Band Scope Mode inop.

On the FreeSCAN virtual scanner screen, the # 3(sr 3) key to start Band Scope inop.
I think this is the problem.

On ARC-XT & ProScan scanner screen, # 3 key works like using the scanner keyboard direct.

Anybody has this issue ?

If not solve I may have to contact FreeSCAN support.

Thanks

Ronaldski,

Thanks for the link, it fix the problem.
I read all the BCD325P2 forum & find no posting, it was posted under the BCD996P2 forum.
Next time I will search the forum before I post.

So the problem is FreeSCAN clears the default Service Keys when it uploads system to scanner.
The other programs do not have this option, and will not clear the keys.
But the Virtual Control Screen still not work with BandScope.
