BCD325P2 vs BCD436HP

I prefer the BCD325P2. But the BCD436HP is upgradable to DMR & NXDN, and even ProVoice if you need it.

Why do you prefer the 325p2?

Thank you. I found them to be always more (sometimes much more) expensive than others. Amazon USA is much lower. I really would like to buy local but Radioworld seems to be doing price fixing to keep prices high. So I try to avoid them if I can

Uniden is more of a price fixer than anyone. They even admit it, only they use another term.

Just going to throw this out there, but there are a few 436's on the classifieds now (think a couple have the upgrades) and there are often 325's on there as well. Personally I'd buy a used scanner from an actual scanner user than deal with Amazon. Before anyone chimes in with the "Uniden Warranty", I wouldn't send a radio back to them for repair anyway. If Jon or another tech guy couldn't fix it then I'd just call it a loss.
