BCD325P2 vs UBCD325P2 - Firmware

I'm going a bit crazy trying to update firmware for a BCD325P2_AU - I found the official AU Firmware update - but then run into the Attached Error: Firmware is for a UBCD325P2 but the connected Scanner is a BCD325P2.
Is there a difference?

Yes, the UBCD325P2 is the Australian version of the scanner, the BCD325P2 is the US/Canada version of the scanner. Among other things, the frequencys covered and band plans are different.

Hi Fogalscan,
The BCD325P2_AU is the first gen 325P2 released into Oz. Then later the UBCD325P2_AU gen2 was released which is supported by Uniden AU for updates. Both the BCD325P2_AU and UBCD325P2_AU have full frequency range without gaps but unfortunately you are stuck for updates as the gen1 scanner is not supported by US or AU firmware's.

BCD325P2_AU = Gen1 not supported by Uniden AU or US for firmware updates.
UBCD325P2_AU = Gen2 supported by Uniden AU for firmware updates.
BCD325P2 = Supported by Uniden US for firmware updates.
