I just discovered this while trying to reprogram the AGC settings and forgot that I needed to press hold while powering up the scanner to get to that adjustment.

Without activating the secrets keys (hold + power), pressing func and tapping the scroll control twice brings up an interesting display and I have no idea what it's for.

The display shows: 8 auto T 1.38 1.60 1.82 and auto can be adjusted between 0 and 20 by holding func and rotating the scroll control.

Does anybody know what this function does?

I could not find any information about this in the manual or the wiki but I think I remember reading about it quite some time in the forums and my memory is not good these days.

Those are the parameters for the APCO P25 conversion to audio... More info in the Wiki.

You use these parameters if you want to adjust the P25 audio quality (i.e. make it sound better).

Everything in my area is conventional or Motorola which is why I didn't notice/pay much attention to this before.

A big thanks to everyone that responded :)
