Look like an update has been posted on Uniden's site. Anyone know if this should be a simple "Install over current version" or does this need to be a full, new install?

The installer will uninstall the older version then install the new.

You don't have to uninstall the software, but be sure to delete the old installer.

The installer is dated 11/29/2004 - so it will be the same for both versions
- running the new "exe" file probably overwrites the installer anyway.

Should have said "Delete any temporary files/folders created by the original installer." If they are still there, the new installer never uncompresses the new files (it sees the old files there and thinks that there is nothing to do). Then it installs, but you still get the old version. At least, that has happened with previous versions (very confusing if the last thing you installed was SC230...it reinstalls that instead of the software you intended).

Repeat, this is exactly what happened.

The installer in fact uninstalled (after asking) my ver 1.2.0.5 then followed with installation of ver 1.2.1.0.
