Hey there,

If there is anyone that has a BCD396T, in the Gainesville-Jacksonville Area, and can give me any ideas on ACG analog and digital settings. I have three different sets of settings for my scanner and all of them seem to work. I was just wondering if anyone else has come up with settings that work best for them that I could try on the Analog and P25 systems in the area. You can either PM me or post those settings here. Thanks a bunch guys. Also thanks to Uniden for another good scanner. I was also wondering if anyone would have any ideas on what the average reading for the AGC= and VOL= on the analog AGC should be.

Right here...
I scan the Jacksonville system great with whatever automatic settings came out of the box. I tried the AGC but it was way to slow to react on digital, I would still get blown out by the alert tones. I don't use AGC on conventional either and they all sound great. So I guess I am no help to you at all, sorry.

The system I monitor has agc capable mobile/portable equipment. Always sounded good right out of the box, no need for the new firmware upgrade. Although still waiting on Illinois STAR COM 21 to be up in running and I just hope with this delay in the Northern Illinois section is that it will be 700 mhz trunked.
