Hi
I have programmed my scanner with all Texas DPS frequencies and still receiving alot of motorboating. Can someone please help me in adjusting the correct settings. How to go about adjusting them so I don't make any mistakes.

My Uniden always motorboats with weak signals, so that has been one cause there for me.
The second major cause I had was the latest version of firmware, it was so bad I reverted back to the previous version, which sounds pretty good... except when on weak signal reception.

You can try changing the time the scaner wait time, pg 6 on the PDF, also the digital AGC

That ultimately may be your solution. But I would not know the best setting, trial and error will be the best unless somebody in the Texas forum has already done this.

Start at this link and see if you can find a threshold setting that works for the Auto setting.
Easier to Read BCD396T/UBCD396T Manual

If that doesn't work try changing to Manual settings and repeat the process of changing the settings to find one that works best for you.

Try that and see if your P25 decoding improves. It may take a little while but hang in there. Beware that if you don't have a proper signal level, none of this is going to help.
