My BCD396T key that turns the scanner on/off, is normally more lower into the keypad, than the other 15 keys. Is this normal?

I think it's to help you find the right key without looking at the keypad.
Like how "J" and "F" on a keyboard has some graphic relief to it.
Regardless, it's not broke. That's how mine came too.

It's not broke so don't fix it. It bees that way. There is nothing wrong
with your radio. I thought the same when I first got mine, So it's allright
