BCD396T on V/UHF airband

Hi all,

Has anybody done any experimentation with the 396 on the VHF and UHF airband? A lot has been said about the various trunking systems, but I am very curious as to how it goes on the airband and milair.

It seems to be about as sensitive on VHF air as my Pro-95. I haven't done much listening on my Air system, so I have no idea how it'll do on MilAir, assuning there's something to hear here.

Oh - I never use the antenna that comes with a scanner for the VHF air band - most of them are deaf down there.
