I have attempted to reprogram my BCD396T with no success. I use ARCPro Version 3.2.004.
I am attempting to build a program for Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office, West Palm Beach Florida.
I have created several programs in the past and they have worked well but for some reason I am unable to build one now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use Freescan with my 396t, have never had a problem with it. Is it that you cannot import the info from RR to ARCPro?

I see that system has re-banded.

Does your BCD396T have the latest firmware?

A few more details please, more than "unable to build this system" would help.

I would try it with FreeScan as suggested above.

The current software is v. 3.2.004 as you state. The current firmware is: v. 3.02.02 and dates from 2009.

I am using both of these to program my 396T from rr.com with no problems. My local system is "rebanded" and is a 700 MHz system.

There's one problem - rebanding has nothing to do with the migration to 700 Mhz.

Gators, yes, some more details would be nice. 'Unable to build one' is not very useful. Is it that you can't hear it well? Are you having problems tracking it? Specifically what is your issue?

Let's see the URL for your system. Go up to the blue toolbar, look left - float your mouse over Database, select Frequency Database then use the various pulldowns and links to get to your system.

When I download the frquency information via the internet thru radio reference using ARCPro and send it to the scanner, I can't hear anything

Don't sweat it, gator...

Your first task is to make sure that the custom table needed for rebanding has been downloaded. I don't use ARC-XT (I use FreeScan) but it should be in one of the site screens. If it isn't there, then a program upgrade is in order. Normally if the reband flag has been turned on, most all of the packages will set that table up for you automagically

Next thing to check are your quick keys. You need one for each site, and at least 1 for every group.

Since that system has multiple sites, the obvious question here is can you hear it? If you step through the system, one of those channels is going to have a loud braaaaap type sound. That's the control channel - if you can't hear it, or you are hearing it poorly, go after another site.

It's not unheard of for system ops to reconfigure their systems to concentrate coverage in a particular direction (usually into the city or county), which would reduce anyone else's coverage outside of that area. But we're shooting in the wind here - let's see if you hear the control channel...Mike

I didn't parse my reply correctly. I have two systems here on the same tower, both are MOT public safety, one is 800 MHz analogue (rebanded) the other is a P-25 700 MHz.

I use ARC XT for progamming my scanners and there is no problem in downloading and updating the data.

{I actually use ProScan for logging because I prefer the 'look' of the graphics, I have never used Free Scan and have no knowledge of it}
