I want to enter a conventional freq with APCO-25 Modulation. Where would I enter that, or do I just leave it on AUTO ? Thanks

I know this has been posted before becasue I have seen it somewhere only I can't remember where.

How do you erase all memory, I know there's a combination of keys which will do it. Thanks.

Awesome scanner and the UASD software is great. This coming from a first time trunked scanner user.

Also, is there a quick way to lock out groups ?

One last thing, Uniden advertizes that you can find any frequency in the area in which you are, ie. airport or something like that, are they talking about the search mode or frequency counter mode ?

For a conventional (non-trunked) frequency, just enter it normally. You can leave the APCO-25 setting at Auto if you like, then later manually tweak it in if need be. The scanner will recognize any digital transmission & handle accordingly. I have TxDPS set up in a system. In some areas, they use normal transmission on standard conventional systems. In other regions, comms are on different frequencies in digital mode. I don't have to separate them into separate systems.

To erase all the memory on Uniden scanners, turn the power swith off. With the scanner power switch off, press and hold the MAN(ual), 2, and 9 keys and
switch on the power; release the keys. Within a few seconds the scanner will re-initialize, showing channel 1 as all zeroes. For the newer scanners like the 396 & 246, use the HOLD key in place of the Manual key.

Erasing memories:
Easiest way is to click the erase memory box on the UASD.

Lock out groups. Use the menu or assign the group to a Group Quick Key and disable that with FUNC-# while holding on that system.

They are talking about the Close Call mode.
