I am new here and new to these newer scanners so please bare with me
I just got a BCD396T and spent the last few days trying to figure out how to program the dang thing.
I up loaded the arc 396 pro and finally with the help of this vid
Program BCD396T with Butel ARC396 Software - YouTube
got some systems loaded on to the scanner to scan, mostly the apco-25 stuff in my area .
but I did not fill in the (quick key box) when I was loading the systems
and I can not figure out how to assign the quick keys to my system.or how in in gauge the the keys to select a given system,
as I did on "my first up load try" fill in the (quick key box) and I did hit the number keys to try and change from system to system and it was a no-go.
do I have to hold down 2 buttons when working the quick keys and if so what 2 ?
any ideas of what I am doing wrong
thanks for any help you may have

Welcome to RR. Go into ARC396 and assign whatever quick keys you want for the systems(Quick Key Drop down box for each system). If you want group keys(click the Enable Group Keys at the bottom of each system), then go ahead, but they require a bit more effort to turn on/off. After you have assigned the ones you want, hit the send to scanner, and check the box: send system quickey status. That should enable all the ones you selected. I rarely use group quck keys, so I am not sure if they will populate as well. If not, then you are going to have to send all the systems with group keys. Just be sure to check the overwrite systems with the same name.
